A giant delegation from Forest bioeconomy and Wood Construction trade and study mission from North America visited Pinomatic in Kauhajoki last week. The guests represented the states of Washington, Virginia, Alabama, Michigan and Minnesota and include representatives from cities, universities and industry. During the five-day visit, the guests toured Finnish industrial plants, research centers and universities, and learned about the forest industry, forestry and logging. Half of them, around 30 participants, also visited Pinomatic to see the production lines of the wood processing industry and Säte Oy, the component manufacturer for the metal industry. The Mayor of Kauhajoki Niku Latva-Pukkila and Business Finland’s representative Ulla Lainio were also present.
