Pinomatic expands its market and delivers its expertise to the North American market. Pinomatic is delivering the mechanisation of a glulam line and sorting line infeed to Element5 in Canada, a specialist in timber construction. The delivery highlights the highly automated technology and flexibility of the line. Hasslacher Group acquired a stake in Element5, and production is active in both the European and North American markets.
Element5 is a mass timber producer specialised in the design, fabrication and assembly of contemporary timber structures. The new factory produces CLT, cross-laminated timber and glulam for the North American market and it is located near Toronto.
Thanks to our continuous development work in recent years, we have been able to increase our export share by expanding the market to new geographical areas. The project delivery in North American market represents yet another big step for Pinomatic. Today, Pinomatic has customers in 21 countries around the world.
Pinomatic Oy manufactures turnkey production lines and equipment for the woodworking industry with over 35 years of experience. Our customers are sawn timber processors, such as glulam, non-settling log, CLT, LVL and plywood mills, as well as door, window, panel and moulding factories, among others. The family business employs 53 people. Around 40% of production is exported, mainly to Central Europe, the Baltic countries and South America. Pinomatic has the largest order volume at the moment, 2/3 of these orders are for existing customers and one third for new customers. The order volume runs until 2026.
